May 8, 2014 – Kevin Hodges

Please join us on May 8th / 7 pm / room SS 570 (one floor below main), 100 St. George St., for the AR Academy. Kevin Hodges will present ‘Hominids, Animals, Pre-History and the Construction of the Invisible.’

Kevin is a PhD student in Byzantine theology and religious studies at Trinity College in the University of Toronto, specializing in Greek Patristic thought as a lens for contemporary environmental issues, and in religions of the ancient world (Greece, Rome, Egypt) from a socio-political perspective. He will share some fascinating information on how people in the ancient world viewed animals.

Kevin is a vegan, an ecological/environmental advocate and is pro-animal in his views.
